Lily Mills

Lily started playing tennis at the age of five, after watching her brother, George, play every weekend. Her tennis has gone from strength to strength, she trains hard every week at Islington Tennis Centre, and competes in LTA regional series, national events and Special Olympics competitions.

Lily has won gold medals at the Learning Disability National Championships 2016 and 2017, and in 2019 she was selected to be part of the Special Olympics GB Team that travelled to Abu Dhabi for the World Games where Lily came home with two gold medals for her country.  Lily has been selected onto the LTA’s Learning Disability GB Development Squad where she attends camps with other promising athletes. Lily hopes that she will be selected for the LD GB Team that will travel to the Virtus World Tennis Championships in 2021; the event was due to take place in Belgium in July 2020 but had to be postponed due to Coronavirus.

Lily is also an Ambassador for Virtus – the International Organisation for Intellectual Impairment Sport and has recently kicked off a modelling career.
