New Ambassador – Abbie Breakwell

Our newest Ambassador is also our youngest. Abbie Breakwell, born 2003 has worn ankle foot orthotics since the age of 1 years old, due to the neurological condition Charcot Marie Tooth (CMT). However in 2016 Abbie was diagnosed with a second neurological condition Syringomelia that had caused Myelomalacia in the spinal cord and a spinal syrinx, she is a wheelchair user, but can walk very short distances.

Grants awarded in 2019

The total number of applications considered this year was 131 with a potential spend of £86,000 allocated for the benefit of disabled tennis players. This is a 26% increase in the number of applications received.

Major Online Auction Launched in Conjunction with eBay

From Thursday 24th August – Sunday 3rd September, DMTT is running an online auction on eBay to raise funds for our grant funding programme for people with disabilities who play tennis.
