Dan Maskell Tennis Trust
Serving Tennis to Disabled People

DMTT chosen by Wimbledon Foundation

The Wimbledon Foundation chose the Trust as one of 3 charities  to receive profile to celebrate HSBC’s 10 years of matching income from the Wimbledon ticket resale.  DMTT’s opportunity came via a wheelchair tennis clinic held at the AELTC’s Community Sports Ground at Raynes Park prior to Wimbledon last year.

The media advisory sent out was as follows:-

As Official Banking Partner of Wimbledon and a long-term supporter of the Wimbledon Foundation, HSBC is inviting key members of the media to a wheelchair tennis masterclass with Tim Henman and Alfie Hewett ahead of the 2018 Wimbledon Championships.

This event will allow members of the media to participate in a wheelchair tennis session, with the Dan Maskell Tennis Trust, a long-standing beneficiary of the Wimbledon Foundation.

In addition to providing the coaching session, Henman, Vice President of the Trust, and Hewett, who received support from the charity in 2011, will be available for interview from 10:00am to preview the Championships”

Sutton Tennis Centre provided the players and excellent coach Luke Mulvihill organised the session.
