Serving Tennis to Disabled People

Wimbledon Foundation/HSBC donation

The Trust was absolutely delighted to receive a donation of £20,000 from the Wimbledon Foundation in the last quarter of the year.

This was most welcome news as the Wimbledon Foundation usually distributes proceeds from the Ticket Resale Scheme at The Championships, which includes match funding from The Championships’ Official Supplier, HSBC. Despite the Resale Scheme not running for the past two years, both the Foundation and HSBC are committed to supporting the sector and were delighted to offer this donation to The Dan Maskell Tennis Trust. They both recognise the steadfast role that charities have played in supporting their communities over the past 18 months and understand that much support will be needed in the months ahead. This donation reflects their support for charities that share the Foundation’s goal of promoting healthy and active lives, and enabling good mental and physical health for people of all ages.

The donation came at just the right time for the Trustees when they considered a record number of grants at their final meeting of the year and thus were able to offer more grants than expected.
