We Do Tennis – Special funding approved

The Dan Maskell Tennis Trust is pleased to announce that our Trustees have committed to support the ‘We Do Tennis’ disability programme with a special project funding grant of £3000. This grant will be used for the wheelchair tennis programme that they run in Lancashire, providing funding towards coaching and court hire costs for weekly sessions as well as a come and try session.

Tony Knappett, head of Disability at We Do Tennis will be overseeing the programme and brings with him years of experience in motivating young people to play wheelchair tennis. Tony has just been awarded the ‘Tennis for All Award’ at the 2022 Tennis Lancashire Awards (pictured below). The sessions are open for anyone to go to, you don’t even need to live in Lancashire if you are willing to travel! You can find out more information by getting in touch: Tony@wedotennis.co.uk

We are really excited to see this programme expand even further with our funding grant and will bring you updates throughout 2023.
