Serving Tennis to Disabled People

DMTT funds The Cube Disability 2 year plan

The Dan Maskell Tennis Trust recently committed to a two year funding agreement with The CubePlayer at Cube Disability group. The Cube Disability provide a fun and modern care service for adults with learning disabilities and autism. The funding provided by the DMTT will be used to create an accessible disability tennis club programme as good as any regular programme for all ages, providing weekly sessions all year round. The programme will also provide holiday camps for both juniors and adults to enjoy tennis.

Currently 70 players are taking part in weekly sessions held across three venues; Dallington Lawn Tennis Club, Nether Heyford Tennis Club and Wellingborough Old Grammarians Tennis Club.

They have also run one successful kids holiday camp with 25 children attending, and have a second camp currently taking place with 40 children attending.

The Trust looks forward to working with The Cube Disability over the next 2 years to continue to enhance the lives of disabled people through tennis; the smiles we have already seen are certainly promising!
