The first Dan Maskell Tennis Trust Virtual Golf Tournament has raised an incredible £11,520. This Tournament was instigated to help make up for the loss of income due to our regular Golf Celebrity Challenge not running for two consecutive years due to the pandemic.
In support of the Dan Maskell Tennis Trust’s Virtual Golf Tournament, Southerness Golf Club in Dumfries ran their own Golf Day on the 14th September and raised £6,000!
Dan Maskell Tennis Trust has received the fantastic news that the Wimbledon Foundation is making a further donation of £16,000 as part of their continued support for charities such as DMTT.

Our opening episode is hosted by our President Elaine Paige OBE and not only explains a bit more about what the Trust does, but also remembers the great Dan Maskell and his role in developing disability tennis.
Having had to cancel our annual Celebrity Golf Challenge for the second consecutive year, we wanted to keep in touch with our golf supporters so we are offering a virtual Golf Tournament for you to play at a course of your choice during a two-week period in September – the 11th to the 25th.
DMTT has relaunched its Coachathon fundraising initiative – postponed due to the pandemic – for tennis venues and coaches to showcase their venues and coaching teams and to raise funds for themselves and Dan Maskell Tennis Trust.
The LTA announces a partnership with The National Lottery to become the Official Partner of the LTA’s Wheelchair World-Class Programme for the next two years. The partnership will provide crucial support to the current elite level of the sport as they prepare for Tokyo 2020 and also look to encourage more juniors, men, women and quads to pick up a racket for the first time, feeding into one of the most successful disability sport programmes in the UK.
The LTA has updated its Return to Play Guidelines to support the resumption of its’s Open Court disability tennis programme.
The Dan Maskell Tennis Trust is hosting two online LD Tennis Social Sessions. We will combine tennis drills you can do at home with some fun activities and a chance to say “hi” to other LD Tennis Players.
From Thursday 24th August – Sunday 3rd September, DMTT is running an online auction on eBay to raise funds for our grant funding programme for people with disabilities who play tennis.
